Granola's are delicious and nutritional to eat, however sometimes it can be a bit pricey depending on the brand and where you go. That is why I have come to love making my own granola's, I get to choose what I want to put in them and even better I get more bang for my buck! Today I will be explaining to you how you too can make granola the "Simply Made It" way!!
1 cup Old fashion oats
1/2 cup Peanut butter
1/3 cups Honey
1/3 cup macadamia nut (optional)
Dark chocolate (to taste)
Chia seeds (to taste)
Add peanut butter and honey to a sauce pan on medium heat, until both peanut butter and honey are smooth, once smooth add to a bowl.
Then Add remaining ingredients into the same bowl that the peanut butter and honey are in.
Then you will stir all the ingredients together.
Once everything is well mixed place onto a sheet of parchment paper. Then you will want to place another sheet of parchment paper over your granola mix and flatten with a rolling pin or your hands, whatever is most convenient for you, do this till desired thickness.
Now that its flattened place the granola along with the parchment onto a plate or baking dish and place it into the fridge for 2 hours or until your granola is firm.
Finally when your granola is firm you can cut it into as many bars as you'd like and reward yourself with a freshly made granola bar.
*For storage I just placed them in a zip lock bag and left in the fridge.
